Bisch Labs

A calmer home setup

This is a short, practical note for a US household that wants one usable corner for projects, schoolwork, and small repairs, without filling the room with gear.

Start with the surface

A sturdy table near a window beats a fancy desk. You want enough depth for a notebook and a lamp, and a chair you can sit in for half an hour. If the corner is shared with kids, keep the height comfortable for an adult and leave the floor clear.

Light and power, then tools

Put a lamp on the table before you buy anything else. One outlet strip with a switch keeps cords off the floor. After that, a small set is enough: a screwdriver with a couple of bits, a tape measure, and a flashlight. Add a tool only when a real job needs it.

Keep it family-friendly
